right, and arguably there is no burden in this case since the scripts are provided by upstream. I believe this episode profiles a dangerous situation for Devuan: if Debian allows the vandalisation of what works on more packages beyond redis-server, this will just create a huge amount of work for us. I hope there are still grounds to be reasonable with Debian developers in distinguishing between real needs for removing sysvinit scripts and vandalisation.
