I have had similar problems with both Debian and Devuan. I Have to Belkin USB Wireless Adapters and a couple others which were not recognized by the installer. Finally found the D-Link DWA-140 USB Wireless Adapter which was immediatley recognized by the installer and is still working very well. -- <>
