Hello again,

my problem still alive: I cann't open a Link (URL) by click in a
Thunderbird message with my default Browser (Firefox)

My investigation has shown thats my MIME Table is (maybe) "broken"

When I start Thunderbird and take a look at the Settings for MIME I get
an *empty* Window. Pls, take a look at the Screenshot here
(Also in a fresh and clean Profile!)

https://support.mozilla.org/de/questions/1218689

I put an "old mimetype.rdf" File (from a Backup to my
/home/username/.thunderbird Folder. (In my actual Profile I haven't had
a mimetype.rdf file?) But that didn't help.

On a (Bash) Shell I attempted to repair the MIME Types

> :~$ thunderbird --fixmime
> INFO -> No fix up for /home/user/.thunderbird/fp37v4sr.default/mimeTypes.rdf
> needed.
> INFO -> No fix up for /home/user/.config/mimeapps.list needed.
> INFO -> No fix up for /home/user/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list
> needed.
> find: ‘/home/user/.local/share/applications/’: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht
> gefunden
> INFO -> No backups related to the Icedove to Thunderbird transition found.

The fixmime command searched in different folders than my MIME Settings
are?! (I use XFCE from Devuan Pacets) I have the path:
/home/user/.local/share/mime/application/(Empty Folder)

A search through my whole system shows me: I don't have a file named
"mimeapps.list" in any folder?!

What can I do to get back the feature: click on a link in a
(thunderbird) message to open this link in my default (firefox) Browser?

Thanks 4 any hints

desperate
Mike
