Quoting [email protected] ([email protected]): > To: [email protected] > Cc: [email protected], [email protected]
Dear listadmins (and assembled): I've found as a Mailman listadmin that subscriber misbehaviour like the above can be curbed by going into Mailman webUI pages, Privacy options, Spam filter, and adding new header filter rules like this: Spam Filter Rule 1 Spam Filter Regexp: ^(To:|Cc:).*linux-kernel@.*\.kernel\.org Action: Reject Spam Filter Rule 2 Spam Filter Regexp: ^(To:|Cc:).*debian-.*@lists\.debian\.org Action: Reject Making these specific two crosspost regexess not work fails to prevent _other_ crossposts fail (sadly), but on the bright side prevents the same miscreant from succeeding merely by using a different throwaway webmail account. (Torvalds would call this 'management by perkele'. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk%3AManagement_by_perkele https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnish_profanity#perkele ) -- Cheers, "When closing parentheses, it's polite to post Rick Moen a sign saying when they will reopen."
