No problem here. Did you mix some incompatible package archives?
What is your /etc/apt/sources.list, /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list?
Do you have an authentication agent running? Don't search for any
binary or service file, they do place a .desktop file
in /etc/xdg/autostart/. Look at the exec entry inside the .desktop
file and try to run it.
On the other hand, maybe you are logged via a shell, are you?

I've found a similar issue in the forum of Archlinux related with
another Qt application: Unetbootin. Somebody solved it exporting
QT_X11_NO_MITSHM=1. Here you are the link:
