Hi Ralph, thanks for your mail, here are your answers
> 1. which iso (with sha256sum)? I tried both the beowulf 3.0.0 and 3.1.0 netinst images. While I deleted 3.0.0, the sha256 of 3.1.0 is 1a6d240e66f4ed8db370fa53de516dfea89a1b466ebb5cdd8572abe024b6778c devuan_beowulf_3.1.0_amd64-netinstall.iso > 2. was it a cleared disk, or existing paritions? I tried both. Initially it was a ssd in mint condition, I once tried to re-use partitions but several attempts were made with deleting both the partitions as well as the partition table. > 3. which installation mode (default or expert)? default > 4. which partitioning? tried both, manual and guided (use largest) > 5. which network mirror (or none?)? Default mirror as presented by the installer > 6. which software selection(s)? Pre-Selection without desktop environment > 7. which init system? sysVinit > 8. # md5sum $(find /boot/efi -type f) 8273287f52ffff4624121d2926ef9df4 /boot/efi/EFI/devuan/shimx64.efi 971b9f3c2d11818fbd6f5f1c3db36f82 /boot/efi/EFI/devuan/grubx64.efi 6a71919b8c1f3a6d277fa10b875010dc /boot/efi/EFI/devuan/mmx64.efi 1305dac4d07ae01b4b45438e18ff4c9b /boot/efi/EFI/devuan/fbx64.efi 4a778f6779402a4d938c94491137f4eb /boot/efi/EFI/devuan/BOOTX64.CSV 7a8c23a27b9c2757f6250dff6db6958f /boot/efi/EFI/devuan/grub.cfg 8273287f52ffff4624121d2926ef9df4 /boot/efi/EFI/debian/shimx64.efi 971b9f3c2d11818fbd6f5f1c3db36f82 /boot/efi/EFI/debian/grubx64.efi 6a71919b8c1f3a6d277fa10b875010dc /boot/efi/EFI/debian/mmx64.efi 1305dac4d07ae01b4b45438e18ff4c9b /boot/efi/EFI/debian/fbx64.efi 4a778f6779402a4d938c94491137f4eb /boot/efi/EFI/debian/BOOTX64.CSV c1d9d376fc07b02457418c4f57e32682 /boot/efi/EFI/debian/grub.cfg > 9. please do 8 for the "working debian" as well 8273287f52ffff4624121d2926ef9df4 /mnt/EFI/debian/shimx64.efi 971b9f3c2d11818fbd6f5f1c3db36f82 /mnt/EFI/debian/grubx64.efi 6a71919b8c1f3a6d277fa10b875010dc /mnt/EFI/debian/mmx64.efi 1305dac4d07ae01b4b45438e18ff4c9b /mnt/EFI/debian/fbx64.efi 4a778f6779402a4d938c94491137f4eb /mnt/EFI/debian/BOOTX64.CSV 42bb5d887d212e8014417e1f70aa5d36 /mnt/EFI/debian/grub.cfg > 10. which EFI brand and version? Sorry, I'm lost here. The computer is a HP Elitedesk 705 G2 does this help? I cannot find any useful info within the "bios" about a version apart from something which looks very vendor-specific (N06 Ver. 02.17) Kind regards, Jonathan _______________________________________________ Dng mailing list [email protected] https://mailinglists.dyne.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dng
