Hi,
if i recall correctly there where some problems with a grub update
recently. If is that booting with a usb drive and:

mount yourdisk /mnt
mount --bind /proc /mnt/proc
mount --bind /sys   /mnt/sys
mount --bind /dev  /mnt/dev
cd /mnt
chroot .
grub-install
update-grub
exit
cd /
umount /mnt/proc
umount /mnt/sys
umount /mnt/dev
reboot

shoud fix it,
