CIRA is currently seeking a skilled a Sales Engineer, who possesses superior communications skills and an appreciation of what it takes to succeed in an entrepreneurial high performance IT environment, but who is seeking an established organization with a higher calling that truly values its employees. Job Summary: As a member of the business development and product management team, the successful candidate will focus on Pre and Post sales activities for CIRA's D-ZONE Anycast DNS product offering. As the D-ZONE product launches, the role will have broad responsibilities requiring both technical expertise and knowledge of DNS in addition to the capability to work with prospective customers and channel partners in a presales and product customization role. Duties and Responsibilities: * Presales Engineering Customer and Channel Support o Work with potential customers and Channel partners integration D-ZONE into their existing DNS offerings * Product Support o Participate in the setup of the product support implementation o Participate in 3rd level support * Peering Management o As part of the role, initiate, manage and set up peering relationships with Canada and International IXPs for the D-ZONE product. (D-ZONE nodes are located IXPs and are peered with IXP members. The peering relationships are a mix of open and negotiated relationships.) * Key Customer Product Integration/Customization o Architect key customer implementations o Design and develop integrations with other products * Product Integration o Review, propose and guide the development of D-ZONE integration with IPAM or DDOS products Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Required Qualifications: * 3-5 years of experience in a client facing technical Sales or Professional Services role * Degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent professional experience * Hands-on knowledge of Internet technologies including networking, DNS, DDOS, IPAM and DHCP experience * Experience with multiple name server technologies * Solution oriented; proven track record in proposing and implementing new solutions for customers * Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills appropriate to both technical and business audiences * The ability to multi-task with strong analytical skills and a strong attention to detail * Strong follow-up skills demonstrating a high degree of diligence and persistence * Strong relationship building skills and works as a team player * Experience in hybrid roles combining business acumen with technological experience * Experience managing projects or tasks to completion * Experience working with a cross-functional technical team * Self-motivated, focused and passionate about your accomplishments * Proficiency in English is essential, French language skills are an asset * Flexibility to travel if/when required Desired Qualifications: * Experience installing, configuring, and supporting DHCP/DNS architecture and related infrastructure * Experience analyzing DNS Caches and TCP dumps * Understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and Perl/Shell scripting * Experience with Cisco operating systems and network administration CIRA offers a fast-paced, challenging work environment in a dynamic, growing organization full of talented team players.
