[[ This is the the same message as sent three weeks ago, except that the
submission date has been extended by a few weeks to help organizations who are
grappling with holiday schedules. The linked PDF has been updated with the new
schedule. We are still very interested in hearing from prospective bidders,
particularly if they have questions about the scope of work. ]]

Greetings again. ICANN has issued a request for proposals seeking a contractor
qualified to conduct the study called for in Section 7.2 of RSSAC028,
"Technical Analysis of the Naming Scheme Used For Individual Root Servers." The
announcement is here:

https://www.icann.org/en/announcements/details/request-for-proposal-rssac028-implementation-1-11-2021-en
A more complete project overview and timelines are listed here:

https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/rfp-rssac028-implementation-01nov21-en.pdf

It would benefit the entire DNS community if ICANN has many potential qualified
contractors to choose from. If you work for such a contractor, please note the
deadlines listed in the overview. If you know someone who works for such a
contractor, please tell them about this RFP. Thanks in advance!
