In addition to the nice things Joe had to say about my DNS experience I will add that I’ve been involved in the RIPE community since 1999 when I started working at the NCC. These days I work at Dyn and have their support for the time and travel commitment required. I’m an enthusiastic hacker around many aspects of the DNS, particularly on the operations side of the shop. I understand however that the role of working group chair has responsibility beyond enthusiasm though, I’ve read the job description document! I’ll still be enthusiastic about DNS and a supporter of this working group whatever the outcome, but I would be honoured to be given the opportunity to serve.
