Dear colleagues,

Due to how terms are aligned and their duration limited we go through a chair
selection at the autumn RIPE meeting every year. In the past three years an
incumbent chair has always been re-selected unopposed.

I've been a co-chair of the DNS working group since succeeding Peter Koch at
RIPE 71 in 2015. Having now served two terms I'm now ineligible for nomination
in the upcoming selection. Someone new must be nominated and selected this time!

Joao sent a call for nominations to the list yesterday. It describes the
process and the job description, selection process and the timeline.

These days the dns wg doesn't do a lot in the way of work in terms of policy
development, and the mail list isn't as active as it once was, but the meetings
continue to be well attended and blessed with excellent content and engaged
participation. The job of a co-chair then is mostly around the organizing of an
agenda for meetings.

Please consider volunteering!

I'm very happy to talk in email, or with voices, with anyone considering this
who'd like to know more. Don't hesitate to reach out to me directly.

Thanks and very kind regards,
dave
