Hi Jess,

I believe your last email deserves an answer:

- The domains you've mentioned are registered to AUSTRALIAN STYLE IP PTY LTD, which does have a common director and premises to that of our Registrar companies.
- The domains were registered through the same service available to all of our customers.  No special treatment.
- The domains were not registered for the purpose of speculation or monetisation, and the Registrant is eligible to licence them.
- The domains are however, temporarily delegated to a park page service offered by one of our Registrars.  This is not indicative of their purpose.

Thanks.

Nick

My personal opinion is that Registrars should not be allowed to speculate

It would be good to point out show me ONE .au registrar that does this, I bet you can't.

I don't think registrars mis-use their position but I would say
Australian Style aka Bottle Domains/Domain Central would be the most
prominent registrar that could be classified as a domain speculator. A
few examples I've seen that fall out of their "suite of ISP related
services and products" include:

football.com.au
travel.net.au
magazines.net.au
