Why would an Open Source project willingly tie itself to a never-ending parade of distributions with ever changing installation instructions?
The base project describes how to install the base. If you are using Ubuntu or Arch or NetBSD or whatever, you look at their package page for their installation instructions. -----Original Message----- From: Dnsmasq-discuss <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Kjell Rönnmark Sent: Sunday, August 31, 2025 10:23 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Dnsmasq-discuss] Info update needed? Since everyone seems happy with the setup info, I will droop this question now. Still, please explain why the instructions are to edit config.h and run make install when binary packets are available in most cases?
