Would it be nuts to sugggest that the different port could be specified
using SRV ? _dns._udp isn't that far off once you've primed the pump
(and you've got dynamic port numbers to boot, yay!).
Oh, that means you'd need to know the new port number, if you don't
do an initial port 53 lookup. Scratch that :)
