A problem is that there are too much ways to do so such as
http://192.168.0.*
http://192.168.1.*
none of which is familiar to most home users.
IPv6 makes the problem worse.
The real problem, however, is that most home users can't identify
the cause (inaccurate clock) why their home routers stop working,
which means they won't try to adjust the clock at all, even if
they knew how to do it.
