importantly, google's policy is to use patents only in defense. i've requested that they make that explicit in the case of this particular patent, but, that's a small detail. i believe that query minimization should proceed as though this patent did not exist, for the good of the internet economy. (if it fails to reach consensus that's a different matter, but, let it not be because of this patent.) -- Paul Vixie
