Well, there's the problem.  Personally, I entirely agree with you, and
I would prefer we err on the side of caution to prevent collsions
between special use names and the DNS.

But there is also a faction that believes that every reserved name
will prevent them from making a million bajillion dollars.  History
suggests that they are mistaken, but that doesn't seem to help.
