I would also appreciate more words on that.

To my mind it's better to have a reserved field that is never used than to need 
a new field in the future and not have a reserved field to redefine.

I am mainly interested in a stable specification. I don't care what label is 
applied to it.

If the DNS specification ever matures to the point where we need a 
standards-track specification for any practical reason, cutting a new rev of 
this document is surely the tiniest atom of extra work imagineable.
