Dear Ondrej and DNSOP,

Thank you for your review, and sorry for my late reply. I missed this email for
a long time.

You are right that the draft-00 version underspecified how the address space
would be managed.

We updated the draft to address the issues you raised.

In Section 5.4, we clarified delegation model for in-addr-m.arpa. We proposed a
hierarchy mirroring in-addr.arpa: IANA ->RIRs(by /8 block)-> ISPs/end users. Up
till now, we have not yet formally consulted the RIRs, and intend to do so
after receiving initial feedback from the DNSOP Working Group.

In addition, we added longest-prefix match lookup in Section 5.3. The query
procedure now tries shorter prefixes step by step(from /32 down to /8) until a
matching AMR record is found, rather than only querying the exact /32 domain.
We also updated IANA considerations in Section 7.

The new version is available at:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-dong-dnsop-dns-record-amr/01

Thank you again for your question. We would be very grateful if you could let
us know if anything is still missing or incorrect.

Hi, I read the draft and since you are proposing the records to be published
globally, this draft underspecifies how the address space will be managed. Who
is going to manage delegations from in-addr-m.arpa.? RIRs? Have you consulted
this with the RIRs? Ondrej -- Ondřej Surý (He/Him) [email protected] > On 7. 7.
