Can I suggest that experimental code point are assigned for a period of 1 year with the assignment date recorded in the table. The code point can be renewed for an additional year if the experiment is still on going at the end of this period. This can repeat for as many years as required.
Software that implements an experimental algorithm MUST have code to automatically disable the algorithm at the end of the 1 year assignment period. To be clear the code will be disabled at 23:59 UTC the day the anniversary of assignment.
