Hi everyone, I'm reaching out to get some feedback on a draft regarding scope and fit. Benno and Ondřej suggested we bring it here first, since it sits somewhere between DNSOP, DAWN, and ART, and doesn't fit cleanly into DAWN.
draft-ihsanullah-dnsid — DNS-Anchored Durable Identity for AI Agents https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ihsanullah-dnsid The draft proposes anchoring identities and accountability for AI agents in DNS: each agent gets an FQDN, and a single _dnsid TXT record under it, signed by the accountable entity, points to the agent's keys, status, and an append-only lifecycle log over HTTPS. What it does not do: it is not an authentication or authorization protocol, and it does not define agent-to-agent interaction. It is meant to sit beneath those and give them a governance-backed anchor to reference. We are releasing a reference implementation and SDKs this month. If that's useful context, I'd be happy to follow up and provide them. I greatly appreciate your time and any guidance on which working group we may belong to. Thanks, Gabriel Kuettel Senior Developer Advocate Identity Digital
