Before reporting I was trying to figure out window names to check if maybe they're matched by the plugin by a window name and not by an application name. It seems to be difficult...
I was also wondering - what about multiple windows of the same app? Window manager is useful if you are able to choose not only the last focused app, but to have a choice of all open windows - imagine any document-based application (whether already working with the plugin - like Inkscape - or another, like Evince). Multiple windows of tabbed browser are, IMHO, even bigger issue - I can imagine (I don't know whether its doable, I can't code myself) typing "Inkscape" (Evince is tougher: this name is used almost nowhere) and scrolling down to select the windows I'm looking for by document name. How to name windows with multiple open tabs (to be more meaningful than current tab name)? I haven't used Quicksilver, I guess they may have some solutions (if difficult to implement), but I just wanted to comment on this bug just to keep things in one place. -- not all windows managed by window manager plugin https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/239685 You received this bug notification because you are a member of GNOME Do Plugins Team, which is subscribed to GNOME Do Plugins. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~do-plugins Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/people/+me/+editemails More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
