Do is not a search tool, we index items to make them available quickly, but your logic from Dave's comment does not follow. If that is the case, then we shouldn't have a tracker plugin at all since you're still searching. Do should be a first-class interface to your entire desktop. Dave's comment refers to the core Do functionality, plugins that use a service to search are excellent and extend Do's functionality immensely. Look at the Locate plugin, which Dave himself wrote, basically the tracker plugin should do the same thing but with Tracker's data. We can merge this plugin in community either way since Community is just sort of a holding place for all plugins not in main, regardless of quality, but I think this plugin could be very useful if it had a higher level of integration with Do. -- --Alex Launi -- Plugin: Search with tracker-search-tool https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/286896 You received this bug notification because you are a member of GNOME Do Plugins Team, which is subscribed to GNOME Do Plugins. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~do-plugins Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~do-plugins More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
