Dear Khaled, Giga thanx for your great effort.. this font is the 'most wanted' arabic font.
- I think that it should be designed for printing perposes, not for GUI/Web/Screen usage. The alternative here is something like Tahoma - a sans-serif font, which is Dejavu, which still need optimizing, and I think that Linux Desktops (kde/gnome) should prevent 'smooth-edges' or 'anti-aliasing' for this kind of font. - I prefer an English font name, not an Arabic -- to keep the consistancy of the System-font-list. - لفظ الجلالة dosen't look good. - Still need caring of التراكبات Best regards, - Anas R. ======= At 2008-01-21, 19:26:39 you wrote: ======= >2008/1/21 zabeeh khan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: >> >> >> Assalam alaikum, >> I tested the "Simplified naskh" font it really includes Pashto letters. >> Thank you so much brother for adding them. > >I'm glade to here that :) > >> Translation of the words: >> >> "Simplified naskh" = "ساده نسخ" >> "regular" = "ساده" > >Thanks, I'll include it in the coming release ISA. > >> P.S: Isn't there any other font of you in which you can add these Pashto >> letters - It will be great? > >Unfortunately no, but this in my todo list for Arabeyes fonts. > >-- > Khaled >_______________________________________________ >Doc mailing list >[email protected] >http://lists.arabeyes.org/mailman/listinfo/doc = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = _______________________________________________ Doc mailing list [email protected] http://lists.arabeyes.org/mailman/listinfo/doc
