There is a minor error in the documentation for the current release of Open Office.
See the attached image and note word in the red ellipse. *Affect* is the correct word to use, not *effect*. The basic rule of thumb is that “*affect*” is almost always a verb and “ *effect*” is usually a noun. There are deviations from this, but when in doubt, stick to the rule. If you need help remembering, think of this mnemonic device: The action is *affect*, the end result is *effect*. Don't give a merit raise to your documentation copy editor! <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> Virus-free. www.avg.com <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> <#DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2>
