I think there should be no problem. I myself had some sorry experience with
LibreOffice using the function Edit -> Changes -> Record and Accept or
Reject. I do a lot of translation work and me and a colleague use this
function a lot. She checks my translations and makes suggestions which I
either accept or reject. Now her suggestions including the original text
simply melted away before my very eyes.  This is admittedly a long time
ago. When I pointed this out to the LibreOffice team, they denied this, and
after I proved that I was right, they answered: why are you complaining,
our software is free. This is an example of the arrogance of the LO team. I
myself use only Linux, but here again a similar problem: practically all
distributions come with LibreOffice, instead of giving users the choice. I
recommend Linux Mint which is easy to use and facilitates free choice of
software.
