You need to add mediaobject filenames extensions (like .c, .pl, or
whatever code you're using) to the DSSSL customization layer as posted
earlier in this thread.  Also, to be XML conformant, the example should
read:

...
     <imagedata format="linespecific"          
      fileref="../../../i/phgamma/ex-PtFlush.g"/>
...                                            ^ add this for XML
