Yes, I think that's the right thing to do. The problem arises because
the patch matches on '*' and then uses the name() function (which
returns fox:localName). So the fox prefix has to be bound.
I should probably experiment with
<xsl:element name="{local-name(.)}" namespace="{namespace-uri(.)}">
...
instead of name="{name(.)}".
