Just an update for people using libxslt/xsltproc, an improvement
in the libxml2 XPath engine seems to provide significant improvement
when using Norm's stylesheets, there have been a new pair of releases
libxml2-2.4.18/libxslt-1.0.14 incorporating those (HTML formatting
on some DocBook GNOME doc become nearly 3 times faster).

On the other hand I still didn't took the time to look seriously
at Norm's specific extension functions :-\
