In a thread in 'de.comp.text.xml' concerning forced line-breaks in <para>s Bernd Eckenfels posted two links [1,2] to postings which show that Norm thought of implementing a processing instruction like <?line-break?> in the DSSSL/XSL stylesheets to support such forced line-breaks.
