DOCBOOK-APPS: perl/docbook2-converter

At the moment I convert my docbook-apps with 
jade or xsltproc. Is there a way with perl too?
I installed the Meta-0.03 module which comes with
a module Meta::Tool::Docbook2 but the documentation
is not so overwhelming.
Any good link for instructions?
