I didn't want to solve this problem for the whole mankind, it was just a thought :-)
For me, I'll surely substitute umlauts with underscores and will add a task to my docbook-xsl update list not to forget changing this particular line in chunk-common.xsl every time if there is no other possibility. Regards Gisbert Amm
