Hi, It appears that slides/fo/plain.xsl produces foilgroup title pages that display the foilgroup title twice, once as fo:static-content by the foil page master, and then as block content in inverted colors by the foilgroup.titlepage template.
The appearance of the static-content title is probably a bug. As a quick fix, which might actually make some sense, I changed the select.user.pagemaster to use the slides-titlepage page master for foilgroups (instead of the foil page master). It would be nice to have the option of disabling foilgroup title pages altogether, but I did not find a simple way of doing this without flattening the hierarchical PDF bookmark structure.
