Hi,

1. No there is no way yet, to influence the markup of the resulting
DocBook. Any suggestions how this should work?

Perhaps a couple of added arguments? Something like:

--doctype article | chapter | section
--numberedsections true | false
        true: sect1 - sectx
        false: nested sections

Of course, there will always be some tweaking needed, so I don't
think these additions are strictly necessary.

Thanks,

Lou

2. You're right the installation script just copies the files to the
hard disk. But it's nice to hear that herold is running on MAC, too.
Most of the programming is done on a Linux machine.

I have an ongoing need to move legacy HTML to docbook, and Herold
is just what I was looking for.

Is there any way to change the HTML output?

For example, after I run Herold, I do this search and replace:

article => chapter
screen => programlisting
sect* => section

These are trivial changes, and the xsl would be easy enough, but I
thought I'd ask.

By the way, I downloaded the .exe for windows, but there's nothing that makes this windows specific. I simply moved the herold directory to my
Mac, and it works just fine.

  If I go to the website, and follow the link to the download area:

    http://www.dbdoclet.org/projects/dbdoclet/en/download.html

and there I try the link for the Windows version:

    http://www.dbdoclet.org/archives/dbdoclet-4_1_10-4.exe

I get a 404 error:

    The requested URL /archives/dbdoclet-4_1_10-4.exe was not
    found on this server.
