Sure. Copied that exact example (worked) and replaced the para element with a mediaobject element copied from elsewhere in the document – where it was showing up correctly, unfloated. The sidebar appeared with its title as before and a blank shaded area that, now I come to think of it, had a size that looked determined by the image. Stephen
