Thank you Bob for your response, but I'm using CALS tables and it doesn't work.
I have even defined a customization layer including only an exact copy of the book example and it doens't work. The curious point is that other examples from de same book section works OK. (Note: I'm using DocBook-XSL 1.75.2 from Oxygen 11). Regards. However, the example is for CALS tables that use <row> elements. Are you using HTML table markup that uses <tr> instead? That would require modifying the xsl:number statement in the example.
