I'd like to point out an issue that I've just started dealing with--the need 
for tagged PDF (508 accessibility issue). As far as I know, there is no way to 
get tagged PDF from pdflatex/dblatex.  I believe there are some commercial 
tools that can go from docbook to tagged PDF using fo.
