For the rest of us that do not use XSL on the daily basis but just want to use 'docbook', yes I believe my question is -and still is- appropriate. So again if anyone know of any other solution already implemented, please suggest (private email is fine). The answer I had on the xsl mailing list lead to a mixture of XSL 1.0 and XSL 2.0, I consider it to be a temporary solution as I have system that do not have access to a XSL 2.0 implementation.
