I'm not sure why the suggested unsubscribe message does not work. OASIS manages that
list, so you might ask their website manager about the problem:

But I know you can also unsubscribe by going to the OASIS website to the mail
management page:
http://www.oasis-open.org/mlmanage/index.php

I also sent a message to docbook-apps-help, which subsequently bounced.
I'm beginning to think the list footer might not be accurate.
How does one unsubscribe from the list?
