A related question here.
If you imported a docbook (or any other XML file) into a CMS,
would you expect it to be validated (and rejected if
the file were not valid docbook ) on import?
Only if I programmed it to do so. A CMS should be able to support your check-in
policies and scripts. SVN can do that with a trigger script.

Something I found this week which surprised me.
A well formed document, but invalid, was rejected.
