Hi Bob,

I ran into a titleabbrev anomaly that probably is low priority (I doubt people
abuse titleabbrev as much as I have recently:-).

In the default stylesheets, if you have a <titleabbrev> element on a formal
element, then an xref that includes the title in the generated text should show
<titleabbrev>. This does not appear to work for chapter. I did a quick test by
putting a titleabbrev on part, preface, chapter, colophon, section, example,
figure, and table. For all of these, except chapter, the value of titleabbrev
is used. WIth chapter, the title is used even if titleabbrev is present.

In the TOC, titleabbrev appears to be used consistently (at least for the
elements that appear in a default toc), so the anomaly seems to be limited to
xref.

Best Regards,
Dick
