I've been asking Madcap about DocBook for years and I'm starting to get the impression that they don't ever plan to support DocBook. This is sad, because I liked their editor, especially for graphics and their integrated Capture program.
I have been using Oxygen XML editor for the last few months and have found their product to be very usable and customizable (if you know how to work with CSS you can make the WYSIWYG window look however you want). Their support plan is definitely worth the money, and they are quick to fix bugs and add functionality if you ask them for help. Very responsive, but they are in Romania, I think, so it's usually an overnight response for me, since I'm in the States. Does anyone know if Madcap Flare is able to support DocBook yet? I haven't found any discussions about it so I suspect it's still a DITA editor only. -- Dave Gardiner
