/ Philippe MARTIN <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> was heard to say:
| The Docbook 4.1 DTD says that
| <!-- SegmentedList in this content is useful for marking up permuted
| indices. -->
| but I can't understand the sense of this.
|
| What are permuted indices ?
In a permuted index, every permutation of an index entry is indexed.
So, if you were indexing "DocBook: The Definitive Guide", you'd
have four index terms:
DocBook: The Definitive Guide
The Definitive Guide DocBook:
Definitive Guide DocBook: The
Guide DocBook: The Definitive
The X Books had some really big ones.
| Could somebody give me a little example of its use ?
I have to admit, I don't see how a SegmentedList helps, off the top
of my head...
Be seeing you,
