Michael, I asked members of the team I work with about this RFE and the predominant response was that they like the idea of a <filecontents> element and would use it if available.
However, we would use <filecontents> in place of <literallayout> for non program files (e.g., an excerpt of /etc/passwd) and would continue to use <programlisting> for programs or program fragments. Therefore, I would not want to retire <programlisting>. Dick Hamilton [EMAIL PROTECTED]
