Hi

I need a way to specify the syntax of a code listing; As temporary workaround I'm using role="XML".
I'd like to write something like syntax="XML" where the value can be CDATA, and can be enumerated by authors in the internal
subset.

seems to suggest a new element filelisting; perhaps something like this would make sense:

filelisting syntax="XML" (DocBook snippets etc)
programlisting syntax="XML" (XSLT etc)
screen syntax="XML" (eg in an editor)

Should I file an RFE?
