I have tried jeuclid and it is worked but I had to change the font to
get it to work. I changed the font through the command line. The
equations are displayed now but not the text. the text shows as ####. I
'll keep on trying to fix this.

Including MathML in a document and processing it with the DocBook XSL
stylesheets is not sufficient. There needs to be a step in
the toolchain
that can format the MathML markup. Converting to an image is
a preprocessor
method, and using Antenna House's XSL Formatter with the
optional MathML
module is a postprocessor method. I wish it was easier.
If you use FOP 0.94, you can give JEuclid a try:
http://jeuclid.sourceforge.net/
The JEuclid FOP plugin is available here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=44862&package_id=37497
There are installation instructions in the README.fop file in
jeuclid-fop-3.0.2-distribution.zip.
