We're working on the spec, so no manual yet! :-)

For newly marked up content, you are correct, there would not need to be a remap attribute supplied.

I'll take a look at your sample and see how things map!

hi,

I guess I forgot question 0: Is there a user's manual?

-) Are there any examples for plays that use prose text (as opposed to
    verses)?

1) We didn't have any specific submissions for our consideration, but
would love to address those if you can provide examples!

  For example: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/844/844-h/844-h.htm
(Oscar Wilde, The Importance of Being Earnest).

-) What are all the remap attributes in the examples for?

2) I used an XSLT to convert Jon Bosak's Shakespeare XML examples to the
Publishers markup. The remap attribute captures the original element
name for reference or for re-conversion if necessary.

Okay, so in a newly marked up play (not converted from Shakespeare
XML), there would be no remap attributes?

                                        yours,
                                        dillo
