Hi,
The current version of the stylesheets should support all versions of the DocBook DTD. The stylesheets have templates for all DocBook elements in DocBook versions 4 and 5. Because XSLT is template-driven, your document's elements drive which templates are actually used.

If you are using DocBook 5, it is recommended that you use the namespace version of the stylesheets (with -ns- in the distribution filename). The namespace and non-namespace versions of the stylesheets are identical except the former adds namespace prefixes to all element matches.

Subject: [docbook] DTD version and XSL Stylesheet version.

Hello there,

I am trying to use DocBook DTD and Stylesheet in one of my project. I
downloaded the DTD and DocBook XSL stylesheets. I am trying to find
out which version of DTD that current version of Stylesheet work with.
I looked at the files in the downloaded files and searched the mail
archive, but I did not find the information. Would any one where to
find the information?

Sorry for asking this question.

Thanks
Jingjun
