phooph, I've finally merged all these files... ;) they are in cvs. Great work Allan! Thanks!
Cool they are in CVS!
I checked Allan's design (not the CVS version) with Mozilla, Opera (on Linux) and IE5.5 and NS4 on WinME
CVS should be almost the same.
Looks perfect on Mozilla.
With both IE and NS, there is a horizontal scrollbar at pages with long pre-lines (eg http://www.apache.org/~stas/allan/modperl-docs/dst_html/docs/1.0/guide/config.html ).
On NS, the base font size is very big (the standard texts looks like bold text)
Could it be your preferences setting?
I agree though that the base fonts look too big compared to other sites. Which makes them ugly ;(
And on Opera, NS, IE there is a one-pixle light grey margin between the dark "selected" color and the next box. (See attached screenshot)
screenshot?
you are talking about the menu? it looks fine on opera5/linux. you are talking about winFU, right?
I'll be leaving on Sunday for one week of Snowboarding, but I'll take my laptop with me, so if we can find a area I can work on without interfering others (I won't have net access..), I might get some stuff done (e.g. looking at some part of the content, or doing new SRC/PDF images)
Stas, have got some concrete idea when to go live with the site?
There is a TODO list to finish. The search is an issue now, but it's not a showstopper, we can improve on it later on.
The major work for me is to solve the internal links problem and implement it.
Then do some more testing on various platforms/browsers and if everybody is happy we go live. According to Allan his latest design is looking good almost everywhere. Please confirm.
So the release can be very soon now. I really hope it does.
For things todo check the todo file, or if something is not there add it to the list.
looking through the content is important, I hope we will get more help here. There is a lot of content to wade through.
