I guess you could add some bg color to the heading of the TOC? so 'Activities' won't hang in the air.
Yes, that's what I wanted to do.. and it looks pretty good actually! I used the styles from the menu, so it fits in with the rest of the design. It's still at the same URL: http://users.skynet.be/pereinar/mod-perl/about/ . I'll commit it now.
